System-on-a-Module
The SoM – System-on-a-Module (STX Module) is a high integrated all-in-one PC system on a module, which integrates all of the common PC functions.
All of the System-on-a-Modules contain:
- Processor
- System logic / chipset
- System memory
- PCI & ISA Bus
- Graphics adapter
- VGA graphics interface
- Digital flat panel graphics interface
- two USB masters
- Two E-IDE channels
– one used on board for internal flash disk
– other one routed through the STX interface; - Super I/O controller with:
– two serial UARTs routed through the STX interface as a TTL-level signals
– one IR communication port
– one bidirectional parallel port
– keyboard & PS/2 mouse controller
– floppy disk controller - integrated AC'97 sound system digital interface
- 10/100 Mbit fast ethernet LAN controller, routed through the STX interface to the isolation transformer on the STX baseboard
